But of course there is a catch, because Citroën does not just cut 4000 euros off the price. The name of the C4 PureTech 100 S&S Live already betrays it: there is no 130 hp available, as in the PureTech 130 S&S, but 100 hp. The entry-level model is equipped with a manual gearbox (an automatic transmission is not available) and includes air conditioning, a 10-inch touchscreen, cruise control, DAB + and Apple CarPlay. Driving aids such as Active Lane Departure Warming, Active Safety Brake with pedestrian recognition, Hill Start Assist and fatigue detection are also standard.
For the time being, the delivery program of the Citroën C4 is very clear. In addition to the PureTech 100 petrol engine, the French hatchback is also available with a PureTech 130 petrol engine and a BlueHDi 130 turbo diesel. The latter is always equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This transmission is an option on the PureTech 130. At the very top of the Citroën C4 range is the fully electric Citroën ë-C4 (indeed, with two hip dots on the e).
