The Aston Martin Vantage F1 is not just a limited ‘action model’. It comes in the delivery program above the regular Vantage as the new top model of the Vantage series. The Vantage F1 benefits from the development work done by Aston Martin for the Vantage safety car, which will make its first appearance at the Bahrain Grand Prix this month.
Behind the controversial grille of the Aston Martin Vantage is still the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG. In the Vantage F1, it delivers 25 hp more (535 hp) with a constant torque of 685 Nm, which is available longer than before. The Aston Martin engineers also worked on the eight-speed automatic transmission, chassis and steering.
The Vantage F1 – available as a coupé and as a roadster – stands on 21-inch alloy wheels (20-inch for the regular Vantage) and has been fitted with an extreme aerodynamic kit: with canards in front of the front wheels, a new front splitter and a large rear wing . The introductory color – Aston Martin Racing Green – comes from the safety car and the Aston Martin F1 Team.
