Season opener World Championship motocross in the Netherlands is canceled

The Motocross World Championship does not start as planned on May 23 with the Grand Prix of the Netherlands in Oss. The organization is postponing the event due to the corona pandemic. Due to the disappearance of Oss, the Grand Prix of Russia in Orlionok on June 13 is probably the first stop of the World Cup.

The cross at De Witte Ruysheuvel circuit would be the first race of the season in the MXGP.

“There has been close cooperation with several parties and the municipality in recent weeks to create a good safety plan, but unfortunately the corona pandemic is currently still causing too many problems, which means that the organization is forced to cancel the competition,” organizer Ebert Dollevoet reports on the website of the event.
