Top 10: Ferrari’s unique Special Projects

1 Ferrari SP1 (2008)

Number one. Based on the Ferrari F430 and ordered by a Japanese collector. The SP1 was designed by the design house Fioravanti and has reportedly cost around 4 million euros.

2 Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta (2009)

Inspired by the 1968 Golden Roadster from Carrozzeria Fantuzzi. The Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta is a 599 GTB under the skin and was designed by Pininfarina.

3 Ferrari SP30 (2011)

This went under the hammer at RM Sotheby’s in Paris in February this year. It was not sold. The Ferrari SP30 – odometer reading after eight years: 110 kilometers – uses 599 GTO technology.

4 Ferrari SP12 EC (2012)

Perhaps the best known of the bunch. The Ferrari SP12 EC was built for Eric Clapton (hence the EC in the name). It stands on a 458 Italia base and is called design traits of the 512BB.

5 Ferrari F12 TRS (2014)

The Ferrari F12 TRS – an open version of the F12 – is not a unique car. His owner ordered two: one in red, one in silver.

6 Ferrari SP FFX (2014)

Wonderful creation on behalf of a Japanese. This is a Ferrari FF, but as a coupé. The red and white color scheme is reminiscent of the Ferrari F1 team.

7 Ferrari SP America (2014)

Obviously a Ferrari F12, but with design elements from the 250 GTO, such as the three small air vents in the hood.

8 Ferrari SP 275 RW Competizione

A Ferrari F12, but with a Ferrari 275 GTB / C Speciale-like body. The letters RW in the name stand for Rick Workman, an American dentist who is apparently doing good business.

9 Ferrari SP58 Deborah (2018)

A nice creation based on the Ferrari 488 GTB. The Swiss buyer wanted a model with F40 and 308 GTB influences. We just assume that Deborah is his wife.

10 Ferrari SP3JC (2019)

If only John Collins (the JC in the name) is happy with this … The Ferrari SP3JC – an F12 in disguise – has, to say the least, a wonderful color scheme. Collins immediately ordered two.
