The Volkswagen ID. Buzz was unveiled at the Detroit auto show in early 2017. Volkswagen had not yet decided on the precise naming of its electric models and then spelled the name of the socket as ID Buzz. Next year is the time, then the ID. Buzz finally in production: as a large MPV and in the Cargo variant we spotted.
With its appearance, the MPV / van harks back to the first Volkswagen Transporter from the 1950s. Due to the camouflage that is still on it, you can see that the design has been toned down a bit compared to the study model from four years ago. Volkswagen has the ID. Buzz tried to camouflage it with a Renault grille and big fake headlights. Underneath are the pinched copies of the concept car.
Volkswagen has confirmed that the ID. Buzz comes in a number of versions, with a maximum battery capacity of 111 kWh. This should allow a WLTP range of up to 550 kilometers. The drive is provided by one electric motor with a capacity of 204 hp. A version with two electric motors will also be launched.
