Max Verstappen set the fastest time during the second practice session for the British GP. With this, Max Verstappen is increasing the pressure on Lewis Hamilton despite the second time in qualifying.

During a somewhat strange format of the race weekend, the second practice session after qualifying and before the sprint race, or sprint qualifying, takes place in Silverstone. In addition, the teams can prepare one last time for the sprint qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday.

In any case, the drivers did not receive typical ‘British’ weather, but they did receive ideal weather conditions with a sun.

Max Verstappen missed the ‘mini-pole’ for the sprint race, but is one of the favorites for victory during the same sprint race, together with Lewis Hamilton. The result not only determines the starting grid for the grand prix on Sunday, but the top three also receive a modest number of points for the championship

After all, it was Lewis Hamilton who could call himself ‘Speed King’ by setting the fastest time during qualifying yesterday, but the official ‘pole position’ will only be awarded after the sprint race.

In the end it was Max Verstappen who set the fastest time during the second practice session, ahead of the Ferrari duo Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Lewis Hamilton was only eighth fastest. Hide and seek or is Verstappen also the favorite for the sprint race?
