Motocross World Championship: René Hofer takes the win in the first series of MX2, Jago Geerts 13th

René Hofer (KTM) won the first MX2 series in the Garda Motocross Grand Prix on Sunday on the course of the Italian Pietramurata, which is the fifteenth World Championship round of the season.


The 19-year-old Austrian beat the French World Cup leader Maxime Renaux (Yamaha) and the Spaniard Ruben Fernandez (Honda).

Our compatriot Jago Geerts (Yamaha), currently in second place in the MX2 standings, did not get further than thirteenth place. Florent Lambillon (KTM) was 26th and Julian Vander Auwera (Husqvarna) 30th and last.
