Just over 45 minutes before the start of the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the 21st GP of the season in Jeddah on Sunday, a moment of silence was held in memory of Frank Williams.

Drivers, team members and former Formula 1 champions gathered around a huge portrait of Frank Williams on the ground.

The Briton, who died a week ago at the age of 79, made F1 history by founding the Williams F1 team in the 1970s, which went on to become one of the most successful teams of all time.
