Everyone is waiting for the announcement of whether or not Hamilton will be on the starting grid this year, but Damon Hill strongly believes that Hamilton will just go for that coveted eighth world title together with Mercedes.
“He is approaching the end of his career, whether he will continue for many years or not is uncertain, but he still has a lot to offer,” the 1996 world champion told Sky Sports F1.
“He may think he has done everything he can. But I’m sure an eighth world title is simply too tempting. I am sure he will return and put it behind him.”
Despite the painful way Hamilton lost the title battle with Max Verstappen, according to Damon Hill he will fight back and go for that coveted eighth world title.
“I think he feels a huge injustice by the decision, he feels like he has been robbed. There is a very sickening feeling that prevails.”
“In the Dutch camp they are very happy with the result, but is the way the title fight was decided satisfying? I do not think so.”
