Sebastian Vettel tests positive for coronavirus and misses first F1 race, Nico Hulkenberg replacement

Reserve driver Nico Hulkenberg will replace Sebastian Vettel during the first race weekend in Bahrain. Hulkenberg previously came in on several occasions during the 2020 F1 season, which was badly plagued by the corona virus.

Vettel is already the second driver to test positive for the corona virus in the run-up to the new F1 season. Earlier, McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo also tested positive. The Australian therefore missed the second winter test in Bahrain, but will be able to participate in the Bahrain GP after a negative test.
