There is a striking green button on the steering wheel of the Kia EV6 GT. This is the GT Drive Mode selector, with which you adjust the character of the car. In other words: with this you switch on the special GT driving mode. Now the very strong EV6 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
Kia uses the color green in more places. The suede bucket seats are decorated with green stitching and a green stripe. The steering wheel is also finished with green stitching. Kia labels the brake calipers in the 21-inch wheels as ‘neon’, but we think they are green.
To get to 585 hp and 740 Nm, Kia installs an electric motor of 218 hp in the front of the EV6 GT and one of 367 hp in the back. By involving all four wheels in the process, the top model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. The top speed is 260 km/h.
With regard to battery capacity (77.4 kWh) and charging capacity (240 kW), everything remains the same. These are, of course, impressive numbers. The official range is 424 kilometers, which suggests that the Kia EV6 GT can also drive economically. As long as you don’t keep pressing the green button.
The Kia EV6 GT costs 64,195 euros, can be ordered now, but will only be delivered at the end of 2022. That is 4200 euros more than what you pay for the current most sporty version with 325 hp, 605 Nm and AWD.
