Jago Geerts falls in GP of Trentino and loses leading position in World Cup position MX2
Frenchman Tom Vialle (KTM) won the Grand Prix of the Italian Trentino on Sunday in the MX2 category. It was the fifth of twenty encounters in the Motocross World Championship. It was a bad day in Italy for Belgian Jago Geerts.

Jago Geerts (Yamaha), leader in the general classification and third in the first heat, crashed in the second heat and thus loses his lead to the day winner. Vialle won both motos and stayed ahead of Dutchman Kay De Wolf (Husqvarna) and Dane Mikkel Harrup (Kawasaki). Geerts had to settle for eleventh place as a result of the day.
Liam Everts (KTM), son of the illustrious Stefan Everts, finished fourteenth after finishing fourteenth and thirteenth in both heats. Florent Lambillon (Suzuki) was 29th, just ahead of Wesly Dieudonné (KTM).
Vialle is doing gold business with his victory and is World Cup leader with 208 points. That is nine more than Geerts (199). Haarup follows in third with 169 units.

Slovenian Tim Gajser wins in MXGP
In the premier class of the MXGP it was three-time Slovenian world champion Tim Gajser (Honda) who gave the fist after the first heat for the Dutchman Glenn Coldenhoff (Yamaha) and the Spaniard Jorge Prado (GasGas). Jeremy Van Horebeek (Beta) crossed the line in seventh, while Brent Van doninck (Yamaha) finished sixteenth.
