Jago Geerts achieves third season win in MX2 in Latvia
Motocross rider Jago Geerts (Yamaha) won the Latvian Grand Prix in the MX2 class on Sunday. He won both motos at the Kegums track.

For 22-year-old Geerts it is his third victory of the season, after Lombardy and Argentina. Thanks to the win, Geerts takes over the leading position in the World Cup from Frenchman Tom Vialle (KTM). Both drivers totaled 244 points but Geerts won one more race. Vialle was third behind Norwegian Kevin Horgmo (Kawasaki) on Sunday.
Liam Everts (KTM) finished twelfth. He finished ninth in the first heat and fifteenth in the second. The World Cup continues on May 8 with the Italian GP in Maggiora.
