Pato O’Ward takes first win of the IndyCar season in Alabama

Mexican Pato O’Ward (Arrow McLaren) won the fourth moto of the season in the IndyCar championship on Sunday. In the Alabama Grand Prix he beat Spaniard Alex Palou (Chip Ganassi Racing). Dutchman Rinus Veekay, who started on pole position, crossed the finish line in third place.

For the 22-year-old O’Ward, it was the third win of his career, after Texas and Detroit last season. Earlier this year he was already on the podium in Saint Petersburg (2nd) and Long Beach (3rd).
