In a press release on Thursday, the Japanese referred to the current economic situation and the “major challenges” facing the motorized industry today. “They oblige us to shift costs and human resources towards the development of new technologies,” it sounds.
Suzuki left MotoGP once in 2011, only to return four years later. In 2020 it won the title with Spaniard Joan Mir and the constructors’ championship. Mir is sixth in the standings today, two places lower than his compatriot and teammate Alex Rins.
MotoGP will make a stop this weekend in Le Mans, France, for its seventh World Cup round.
