This Mercedes-AMG super sports car doesn’t sound like anything

And we mean that literally. This Mercedes Vision AMG does not sound like anything, because it is fully electric and therefore very quiet. The sports car department of Mercedes also understands that thick, roaring V8 engines have had their day and comes with a push for a spectacular plug-in supercar.

Will this study model go into production? No, Mercedes-AMG just wants to show that they are thinking about the future. Underneath the Vision AMG is the new AMG.EA platform, which was specially developed for the performance division of Mercedes. In 2025 we will be introduced to the first model to use it.

Mercedes Vision AMG with touches of EQE and EQS

The Mercedes Vision AMG is a finger exercise, with an aerodynamically optimized body, which bears a close resemblance to those of the Mercedes EQE and EQS. Like those production models, the Vision AMG is a four-door coupé with an arc-shaped roofline.

Is the Mercedes AMG-One actually coming?

You can see from the color scheme and the wheel design that Mercedes-AMG is trying to establish a link with the Formula 1 team. If all goes well, the AMG One will be on the market in the near future, with a 1.6-liter turbo V6 and two electric motors. Like Lewis Hamilton’s Formula 1 car, the One can run at enormous speeds: up to 11,000. The power is 1000 hp.
