Due to a crash during the F2 race, Tecpro barriers had to be repaired in the first corner of the circuit. As a result, the last practice session for the Azerbaijan GP started with a 15-minute delay. During the first few minutes of the session, however, we saw little action on the track.

About half an hour into the session most of the cars were on track, clearly waiting to try and push the track more fully. The message was increasingly pushing the limits of the car and the track, but without crashing, especially in the very narrow part at the height of the castle.

At the very end of the session, the streets of Baku were extremely busy. As a result, several drivers, including Max Verstappen, were unable to go full throttle. In the end it was Sergio Perez who was the fastest in the Red Bull. Charles Leclerc followed in the Ferrari by just a handful of thousandths while Max Verstappen was third.

After all, there must be at least two hours between the end of the last practice session and the start of qualifying. Qualifying for the GP of Azerbaijan therefore starts at 4.15 pm.
