You should recognize a legendary Porsche in this Puma sneaker

At Puma they have kept a close eye on the hook-in calendar. The German brand celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of a legendary Porsche with a limited set of sports shoes. Do you recognize which Porsche it is by the colors?

Come on, we’ll tell you. Puma is celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 with this sneaker. And we literally mean quiet, because nobody will probably walk on these collector’s items. The circulation of five hundred sports shoes is already sold out. The Puma x Porsche Suede RS 2.7 is available in ten color combinations, all of which come from the illustrious 911.

Puma x Porsche Suede RS 2.7 with free entry to Porsche Museum

Yet easy how you can create a collector’s item as a manufacturer. The Puma x Porsche Suede RS 2.7 looks no different from the other suede sneakers from Puma, apart from the color and the logo on the heel, which reads ‘Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Limited 1 of 500’. Funny detail: if you arrive at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart with the special Pumas on, you get one free entrance.

Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was the 911 GT3 of the 1970s

The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 was introduced in 1973 as a racing homologation special. The plan was to build 500 of them, but the 911 GT3 of its day proved so popular with Porsche customers that the production counter eventually stopped at 1580. Compared to a standard 911, the Carrera RS 2.7 is lighter and more powerful, with a modified chassis, better brakes and a recognizable ducktail-spoiler.
