F1 drivers, led by former world champion Lewis Hamilton, have been complaining for some time about bouncing cars, especially on straights and at top speed. The car would therefore be very difficult to drive and control. Last weekend, at the Azerbaijan GP, Hamilton complained of back problems and had trouble getting out of his car afterwards.

The FIA has now given the teams a technical guidance on the measures it intends to take in the short term to tackle the problem. For example, more attention will be paid to the underside of the cars, where there is a wooden board that regularly rubs against the asphalt. Research should show what can be done about it. The FIA wants to consult with the teams anyway.
