With your very best effort, you have so far reached a maximum of 418 kilometers in a Cupra Born. But that will change very soon. With the latest variant of the Volkswagen ID.3 in disguise, a range of no less than 546 kilometers lies ahead.
The delivery program of the Cupra Born is compact, you could say. There are only two versions in the price list, both with a 58 kWh battery. The first has 204 hp, the second 231 hp. Both get more than 400 kilometers on a ‘full tank’. New for 2022 is the 77 kWh battery, which Cupra refers to as ‘long range’. It is mated to a 231 hp electric motor, should be good for a range of 546 kilometers and can be charged faster than the battery with 58 kWh: 135 kW compared to 120 kW. If you connect the new Born to the correct fast charger, it will be back at an 80 percent charge level in 36 minutes.
The Cupra Born 77 kWh is available as Adrenaline, Performance and Copper Edition. The first comes standard on 19-inch alloy wheels. The last two on a size larger. All versions have a virtual cockpit, heated seats, a navigation system with 12-inch touchscreen, a multifunction and heated steering wheel and a BeatsAudio sound system with ten speakers and a 370W amplifier. For the Cupra Born 77 kWh you pay at least 49,990 euros. The other prices are as follows.
