Let’s face it: a classic Volkswagen bus is nice to look at, but it doesn’t drive at all, especially those of the T1, T2 and T3 generations. With the new Volkswagen ID. Buzz is of course completely different. It is quiet and comfortable (at least, that’s what we assume) and as a future GTX variant perhaps the fastest VW bus ever.
If the Volkswagen ID. Buzz comes on the Dutch market after the summer, it will only be available with a 77 kWh battery and a 204 hp electric motor. The range of this version is more than 400 kilometers. A version with a 58 kWh battery and a range of more than 300 kilometers will probably come later. A ‘sporty’ ID is also on the agenda. Buzz GTX, Volkswagen confirms.
It follows the same recipe as the Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5 GTX: two electric motors with a combined power of 299 hp, the well-known 77 kWh battery and smoother decoration of the body and the cabin. What will be the range of the ID. Buzz GTX is not known (when it is coming yet), but we think the model will be out of breath a little earlier than 400 kilometers.
