Red Bull suspends reserve driver Jüri Vips after suspected racism


Red Bull’s Formula 1 team has suspended its reserve driver Jüri Vips for allegedly making a racist remark. The race team made that known.

The race team of Dutch world champion Max Verstappen announced that it would investigate the incident. “As an organization, we condemn abuse of any kind and have a zero-tolerance policy towards racist language and behavior,” Red Bull said in a statement.

Est, 21, is said to have made racist comments in a stream on the internet platform Twitch, according to media reports. The youngster is active in Formula 2 and is currently seventh in the general classification. He also took part in the first F1 practice session at Spain’s Gote Prijs in May with Red Bull.
