Stoffel Vandoorne does not get further than 20th place in Formula 1 qualifying in Marrakech

Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes-EQ), leader in the general classification of Formula E, had to settle for 20th place in the qualifications for the ePrix in Marrakech in Morocco, in the tenth GP of the season, on Saturday.

Vandoorne did not get further than a tenth and penultimate place in group A during the qualifications and was therefore unable to qualify for the second phase. Portuguese Antonio Felix da Costa (DS Techeetah) grabbed pole.

In the standings, Vandoorne has a five-point bonus on the Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne (DC Techeetah) and seven on the Swiss Edoardo Mortara (Rokit Venturi).

The ePrix will be finished later on Saturday, at 6 pm Belgian time.
