A horror crash on the Silverstone circuit in Formula 2. After a light contact with Roy Nissany’s car, Dennis Hauger went off the track on the first lap and ended up on top of the car of the same Nissany moments later. Fortunately, thanks to the halo, he made it out alive.

Both pilots ended up in the gravel pit, but were both uninjured. The replays clearly show how the halo – the cockpit-mounted safety device that was introduced in Formula 1 and Formula 2 in 2018 – prevents much worse.
