Italy’s Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) won the Great Britain Grand Prix in the MotoGP class on Sunday. At the Silverstone circuit, he won by a small margin ahead of Spaniard Maverick Vinales (Aprilia), second at 0.426, and Australian Jack Miller (Ducati), third at 0.614.

For the 25-year-old Bagnaia, it was his second win in a row after his victory in Assen in the Netherlands at the end of June, just before the summer break. He has already won four times this season, eight times in total in MotoGP.

Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) crossed the line in eighth and remains leader in the World Cup standings. After twelve of the twenty races he has 180 points, 22 more than Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia). The Spaniard finished ninth on Sunday. Bagnaia follows third on 51 points.

The next appointment is on August 21 in Spielberg, Austria.
