Jean Alesi: “The fans should not criticize too much, but support Ferrari”

According to former Ferrari driver Jean Alesi, the tifosi should not be too harsh with their criticism of the Ferrari team as Alesi believes that will not do any good and will only work against Ferrari’s performance.

Alesi realizes that emotions are running high among Ferrari fans, especially after things looked so good at the start of the season. Still, he calls on not to criticize the Scuderia too much.

“This season feels like a rollercoaster, the emotions and reactions are getting more intense,” Alesi told Italy’s Corriere della Sera.

“When you dream of victory, defeat turns into sporting drama with the passion that reminds me of shouting at a football match.”

As for the Ferrari fans, the defeat in Hungary also hit Jean Alesi hard, but at the same time he calls for peace and calm.

“It hurts me too when I think about Hungary. Mistakes have been made, even for strategy. But going against Ferrari isn’t good for any fan, it doesn’t make Ferrari any better.”

“I say this when I understand all too well that every outburst and criticism comes because of the passion for Ferrari and the strong feelings that come with it.”

According to Alesi, it makes no sense to keep making endless analyzes and criticizing, there must be support and solidarity.

“We can analyze the race to try to understand how and why, but we don’t need that,” said Alesi.

“I think there should be support rather than trying to destroy something. Negativity is useless and does not lead to recovery.”

“At the moment I want to love Ferrari mainly because the Ferrari employees are the first to suffer a loss and every mistake that leads to a defeat.”
