“Expensive bill for F1 pilots’ dinner is false, Lewis Hamilton knows how much it really cost”

Williams driver Alex Albon has denied that the dinner with the twenty F1 drivers would have cost around 160,000 euros. According to Albon, the bill that ‘leaked’ on social media is incorrect.

Albon did confirm that Lewis Hamilton paid the bill, but whether the amount of the bill actually went towards 160,000 euros, Albon does not know (Read: F1 pilots celebrate the end of Sebastian Vettel’s F1 career with an incredibly expensive dinner ). According to Albon, the account that is doing the rounds on social media is certainly not correct.

“What a lot of bullshit,” said Albon during the ‘F1 Nation podcast’. “I saw that bill, but that bill came from that Salt Bay guy, we didn’t eat there. We ate at a place called Hakkasan.”

“We are normal people. We don’t expect caviar on our plate or golden spoons. We ate a set menu. There are also many people who follow a diet, such as Lewis who is vegan.”

“Lewis paid the bill, which is very nice of him, very nice. So he knows how much the dinner cost.”
